Meet the Explorers!

Meet the Explorers!

Hi!

Our names are Darcy and Kyle. We spent ten years sharing a dream: to live life on our own terms. We’ve engineered our lifestyle for maximum freedom with a high degree of security.

How do we live now? We briefly moved into our 1976 Volkswagen bus and hit the road! Unfortunately, between bad weather, COVID, and not being as self-contained as larger RVs, we decided the timing wasn’t right for life on the move. We decided to regroup, and rented an apartment while we waited for the world to open up again!

We made good use of our down time, our new little explorer joined us in the fall of 2021 and we’re now figuring out life as a family of three. Mere weeks after he was born, we bought a home base so that we have a place to return to in between adventures. Once we get in a good rhythm, we’re hoping to head back out into the world!

We’d love to embark on some international travel but we don’t know when that will be possible again, so for now we’re keeping our plan short term. Where should we go from here? No ideas are too far-fetched as we redesign our lifestyle to fit the world as it is today.

We’re both wired for constant optimization, and while we don’t know exactly what we want, we’re starting to narrow things down by identifying what we don’t want!

Either way, we’re following our passions!

I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it full speed. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good. White hot and passionate is the only thing to be.
