Bryce Canyon National Park

We were layered and bundled in preparation for a cold day at Bryce Canyon National Park, but instead we had beautiful weather. And the views were spectacular! Bryce Canyon in the snow is a fantastic way to see the hoodoo formations.

Family Slideshow: Roadtrips Gone By

My grandparents took big cross-country trips every couple of years. They made slideshows of their trips, and I was able to digitize some of the slides from those trips. Now we’re seeing the same sights, and comparing the landscape to how it looked 60 years ago!

Grand Canyon North Rim

Our visit to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon was nothing like what we expected. The weather at 8000 ft is much different from where we’re staying in Kanab, UT. We still made the most of our time seeing what we could in a national park that very few people get to visit!

Hanging Out in Kanab

We’ve got a beautiful campsite with red rock views, and we’re planning out all the things we want to do and see while we’re in Kanab. This is a central location for a few national parks, but there’s also lots of local hiking trails and beautiful views to take in!

Petrified Forest National Park

We’ve been on the road for a couple weeks now, so it’s no surprise that things are breaking. But today’s was a big one.

The main event is our first national park! We stayed at a campground that is barely outside the park boundary and thoroughly explored the Petrified Forest. There’s more than just mineralized wood to see here!

Slowly Passing New Mexico

We’ve made it to the southwest! We were immediately greeted by a tumbleweed. We did a little exploring, did a little drone-flying, and had a little encounter with the local wildlife – a tarantula! We’re amped about where we are and what’s to come!
